Technical Limitations & Specifications
Tolerances for CNC Milling Service
Our CNC milling services can accommodate a wide range of tolerance requirements.
Below is an alphabetical listing of the tolerance types we can achieve for precision machined parts.
Bore Alignment ± 0.01mm
The accuracy of alignment between multiple bores or holes along a common axis.
Circular Interpolation ± 0.01 mm
The accuracy of circular features created through machine interpolation.
Concentricity ± 0.01 mm
The condition where the axes of all cross-sectional elements of a cylinder share a common axis.
Edge Condition - Broken and Deburred
The quality and precision of edges on machined components, including deburring requirements.
Face Perpendicularity ± 0.01mm
The degree to which a face is at a 90° angle to a reference surface.
Flatness ± 0.01 mm
The condition of a surface having all elements in one plane.
Gears and Classes - DIN Class 6 and above
Precision capabilities for different gear types and their quality classifications.
Hole Perpendicularity ± 0.01 mm
The degree to which a hole's axis is at a 90° angle to a reference surface.
Minimum Hole Size - 1.4 mm
The smallest diameter hole that can be reliably machined to specification.
Minimum Wall Thickness - 2 mm
The thinnest wall that can be reliably machined without distortion.
Parallelism ± 0.01 mm
The condition of a surface equidistant at all points from a datum plane.
Radial Runout ± 0.005 mm
The total displacement measured by an indicator when placed against a rotating part.
Straightness ± 0.01 mm
The condition where an element of a surface forms a straight line.
Surface Roughness (Ra Value) - 0.2 µm
The measure of surface texture, quantified as the arithmetic average of surface irregularities.
Thread Depth - L/D ≤ 20
Thread depth in threaded features.
True Position ± 0.005 mm
The exact position of a feature relative to its theoretically perfect location.
